National Museum of the Great Lakes Announces Online Access to the First 75 Years of Inland Seas® Journal
April 2, 2025 (Toledo, Ohio) – The National Museum of the Great Lakes is excited to announce that the first 75 years of the Inland Seas® journal are now available to read, search, and explore online. Enthusiasts and researchers can now delve into decades of Great Lakes history from the comfort of their own screens.
Since its inception in 1944, Inland Seas has served as the cornerstone of Great Lakes history, captivating readers with stories of shipwrecks, lighthouses, sailing adventures, and more. This award-winning quarterly journal brings history to life with engaging, well-researched narratives—perfect for researchers, history buffs, and anyone passionate about the Great Lakes.
Produced and distributed by the National Museum of the Great Lakes, Inland Seas continues to share the unique stories of our inland seas, preserving the history and heritage of the region.
