Signal Flag Q – Quebec

The plain yellow signal flag stands for the letter “Q” in the English alphabet. But this flag also means that the vessel is healthy and requests to practice or travel freely. Signal flags have further uses than just by themselves. When paired together the flag combination of “G” and  “Q” signals that a vessel is unable to rescue a different distraught vessel due to weather and to do all that it can.
