Cleveland Metropolitan Yachting Association Star Class Race

The formation of the Cleveland Metropolitan Yachting Association (CMYA) dates back to 1926, with plans for a boathouse in Cleveland near Edgewater, however, it was never built. The CMYA held regattas from 1926 until at least their 7th annual in 1932. It is believed that CMYA is the precursor to today’s Greater Cleveland Boating Association. In their third regatta in 1928, the Champion Star Class race was held and awarded.
