Tugging on the Maumee
Tugging on the Maumee
Great Lakes Towing’s Tug Mississippi is towing the Oakglen (unseen here) through the MLK bridge on October 31, 2020. During the fall of 2020, the Mississippi was a new sight in Toledo as it had been stationed in Traverse Bay during the summer and fall months as a training ship for the Great Lakes Maritime Academy.
The Mississippi was built in Cleveland by Great Lakes Towing Company in 1916. G-Tug offers towing services in over 40 ports around the Great Lakes, so their vessels often move around to different ports as needed.
