Troisdoc Loading a Station Wagon – April 28, 1950

In 1946, after World War II, Willys-Overland Motors began producing their Willys Jeep Station Wagon. Their 1950 model was launched on April 16, 1950, just 12 days before this photograph was taken at the Hills and Pound Wharf in Toledo. The photograph shows a Willys Jeep Station Wagon being loaded onto the Troisdoc, a lake freighter owned by N.M Paterson & Sons, Ltd., a shipping line based in Fort William, Ontario, Canada.
