Toledo Yacht Club – Winter 2020

Toledo Yacht Club – Winter 2020

Established at the end of the Civil War in 1865, the Toledo Yacht Club remains one of the longest active boating clubs in the states. The club rests within an inlet at the mouth of the Maumee with direct access to Lake Erie. As the winter season creeps in, preparations are made to remove individual vessels from the water, and local marine activity on the water ceases. During this time, just like companies with their freighters and bulk carriers, some members will still tend to their vessels undergoing repairs or receiving enhancements to be ready for the next boating season.
