Toledo Shipbuilding – May 28, 1910
The above photo shows an empty drydock at the Toledo Shipbuilding Co. on May 28, 1910. The men in the photo appear to be doing repairs to the drydock in preparation for this next vessel.
The shipyard was first created in 1888 by John F. Craig of Craig Shipbuilding Co. The yard was sold to American Ship Building Co. and renamed Toledo Shipbuilding Co. in 1906; American Ship Building ceased operation of the yard in 1985. Today the yard is owned by the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority and managed by Ironhead Marine, Inc.
