About the Author: Alexander Burns Cook was a long time member, board member, and volunteer curator for the Great Lakes Historical Society. One of his many talents was cartooning. He drew the “Captain Scuppers” cartoons for the Plain Dealer in the 1950s and we are proud to share them with you today.
