Rental Information

The National Museum of the Great Lakes is a unique location for many kinds of meetings or special functions. From a small gathering to a large function there are a variety of options for you to consider.

Community Room

The Community Room holds up to 76 people. With a view of the Glass City Veteran’s Memorial Bridge, the room can be used for lectures, meetings, or receptions. Daytime rentals start at $150 for two hours. The room can be rented after hours as well.

Exhibit Gallery

The exhibit gallery holds over a thousand people. The exhibits make a wonderful backdrop for any function. The gallery can only be rented after hours.

Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship

The Schoonmaker holds up to 500 people. The ship offers some of the best views in the city of downtown and the Glass City Veteran’s Memorial Bridge. The ship can only be rented after hours between May and October.

Museum Grounds

The grounds offer a wide variety of areas for outdoor events.  Whether under the open skies or in a tent, the grounds offer many opportunities to make your event memorable. Portions of the grounds are open during open hours and all of them for an after hours event.
