Tugs at the foot of Monroe Street

The above photo shows a number of tug boats at the foot of Monroe Street on the Maumee River. Among those in the image are Fannie L. Baker, Sheboygan, and Arthur Woods. The stern of the vessel to the left is the Pastime, a passenger steamer that ran the Maumee River and later from Toledo to Presque Ile Amusement Park.

While we do not know the exact date of this photograph, it must be 1903 or earlier. The Pastime was abandoned and stripped late that year.
