WHY BECOME A MEMBER OF THE GREAT LAKES HISTORICAL SOCIETY?
Joining The National Museum of the Great Lakes as a member allows you to share a commitment to our mission: to preserve and make known the important history of the U.S. and Canadian Great Lakes.
We accomplish this mission by operating the National Museum of the Great Lakes, the Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship, and Maritime Park in Toledo. We also publish Inland Seas®, the finest quarterly journal dedicated to Great Lakes history in the world! We educate the public with our speaker’s bureau. We also research and investigate shipwrecks with the Peachman Great Lakes Shipwreck Research Program. These activities and facilities make The Great Lakes Historical Society the premier organization dedicated to preserving the history of the Great Lakes!
