Glass Walls Transform our Second Wave Expansion
Published December 19, 2024
Just in time for the winter winds to settle in, the glass windows for our Great Lakes Community Education Center are set in place. These full length wall-sized windows are more than just a beautiful addition to the space—they’re a symbol of our commitment to transparency and creating an inviting gathering place for Great Lakes conversations.

A Space for Learning and Dialogue
The windows are the backdrop for our new Great Lakes Community Education Center, which is aimed to become a place where ideas and discussions flow freely. It’s a dynamic hub for learning, collaboration, and connection. This new space gives us the flexibility to explore all kinds of topics—from environmental issues and maritime innovations to cultural stories that define the Great Lakes region. With those stunning floor-to-ceiling glass walls, we’re creating a space that feels open, welcoming, and full of possibilities.

Gratitude to NSG-Pilkington
We couldn’t have done this without NSG-Pilkington. Their generous in-kind donation of the glass has truly brought our vision to life. These walls don’t just look amazing; they’re a reflection of the partnerships and support that make our growth possible. A huge thank you to the NSG-Pilkington team for helping us make this dream a reality!
Just in Time for the Holidays
It’s all coming together just in time for the holidays! Our team recently got a tour of the new space, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Right now, it’s an open space, but with the shell complete, it’s so much easier to see the vision coming to life. The expansion is coming along gorgeously, and it’s incredibly exciting to witness everything falling into place. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon and Happy Holidays!
