The Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship will be hosting the Toledo Mobile Radio Association as they take part in Museum Ships Weekend 2019. Museum Ships Weekend (MSW) is an international event hosted by the Battleship New Jersey Amateur Radio Club in Camden, NJ. Individual ham radio operators test their operating skills by calling participating museum ships on which ham radio clubs have set up stations. This year, the Col. James M. The National Museum of the Great Lakes will be closed all day on Friday, June 21, 2019 for an event.  Only participants in the tug Ohio christening will be given admittance to the museum and grounds on this day. Be a part of history in the making. On June 21, 2019 we will have a unique dual ceremony, dedicating the Museum Tug Ohio and christening The Great Lakes Towing Company’s new Damen 1907 Ice Tug Ohio.
