About the Boys of Bay City:
Jerry Casault and Bruce Macartney have been performing together for the last 18 years. Jerry was born in Michigan, and Bruce moved to Michigan from New Jersey 30 years ago.
Jerry found a love for sea shanties while in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Newfoundland, Canada. Bruce plays fiddle and it was a natural fit.
Jerry has written historical songs about Bay City. His song “Load-em and Stack-em” is performed in 3 languages today.
Bruce plays fiddle and concertina, Jerry plays guitar and harmonica. They both sing lead and harmony.
They have performed for numerous sea festivals, including Bie Daip in the Netherlands, The Baltic Shanty Festival in Finland, Glivice in Poland, Mystic Seaport in the USA, and all of the Tall Ship Celebrations in Michigan.
