What’s A Freighter Trip All About

August 25, 2016 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

- Free

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to take a trip of a lifetime aboard a Great Lakes steamship?

Are you unsure about purchasing a Luck of the Lakes Raffle ticket because you don’t know what the prize is?

Come down to the National Museum of the Great Lakes on August 25 and learn all about this amazing possibility.  Chris Gillcrist will present a history of freighter trips using photographs and manuscript material from the Archives.  Meet and talk with individuals who have been lucky enough to take a freighter trip! This is a free event; snacks, beer, and wine are included.

You must RSVP by calling 419-214-5000 x 200 or email reservations@inlandseas.org.

Those people that purchase Luck of the Lakes Raffle tickets at this event will be entered into a special drawing for one of two prizes
1) Lunch for 4 and a tour of an Interlake Steamship Vessel.
2) An afternoon trip for 6 aboard the J.W. Westcott II to deliver mail to a freighter in the Detroit River.  A picnic lunch is included.
