Join us on the third Monday of the month for Capt. Scupper’s Songfest—a morning maritime music and movement class presented by Sing into Reading. This fun activity targeting our youngest maritime enthusiasts gives kids the chance to build a love of reading through music that incorporates a “Great Lakes twist.”

Children ages 0-6 and a parent or caregiver will spend 30 minutes exploring maritime themes through music and movement followed by open play in the Museum’s “Port of Play” and exploration of the museum. Non-member visitors wishing to also explore the museum vessels may do so for an additional cost.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Registration is $5 for NMGL member children and $15 for non-member children per class (non-member price includes free museum only admission for one adult and child).*
  • Each class is limited to 20 kids and their grownups with a target size of 12-15.
  • The class is designed for ages birth to 6 but older children are welcome to register.

Not an NMGL member? Consider a membership that includes year-long and seasonal access to the museum, museum store and program discounts, and more. Learn more about NMGL membership at nmgl.org/membership.

* Member Children are defined as children who are a part of a family or grandparent membership.
