In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day, the National Museum of the Great Lakes invites educators to discover the many ways the museum can bring Great Lakes history to life for their students on Tuesday, May 5 from 4 – 6 pm. Join us for a special Educator Open House designed to showcase our hands-on educational programs, engaging field trip opportunities, and our newest temporary exhibit.
Meet members of our education team, experience a mock field trip aboard the historic Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship, and explore how the museum’s programs connect classroom learning with real stories from the Great Lakes. Attendees will also have the chance to enter a raffle to win a free field trip for their class.
