Anniversary Lecture Series: “Transforming Interlake for the Future”

December 16, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

- Free

Although many things came to a halt during 2020, Great Lakes shipping did not. Nor did the building of Interlake Steamship Company’s newest vessel in their fleet— the 639-foot M/V Mark W. Barker. This freighter, the first new U.S. Great Lakes bulk carrier built on the Great Lakes in over 35 years, will be the topic of our first ever virtual lecture.

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, Interlake President and vessel namesake Mark W. Barker will join us for a live Zoom webinar presentation titled “Transforming Interlake for the Future.” He will discuss the building process and the boat’s future on the Great Lakes and answer questions from participants. This is the first of two special lectures the museum is planning in celebration of their 76th anniversary.

Registration for this event is FREE, but we hope you will consider a donation in the amount of what you think this event is worth to you and anyone watching with you. We will see you in December!
