The Lake Erie Amusement Park, ca. 1895
This postcard shows the boardwalk at the Lake Erie Amusement Park, in front of the casino, along with the roller coaster. This was a popular image for Toledo postcards of the early 1900s. Toledo was home to multiple casinos and amusement venues in the 1890s and early 1900s. Click here to learn more about Walbridge Park, another amusement venue in Toledo. The boardwalk shown here burned in 1901, was rebuilt and burned again in 1910.
Correction: This image was originally mislabeled as the casino at Walbridge Park.
